Fabulous Fitbit

I’m probably pretty hard on myself when it comes to not getting enough exercise in. A few months back I was complaining about my weight and my post baby body to my partner. His response was not to worry about it because I ate well and exercised. Of course, I disagreed. He pointed out that not a lot of people these days get 6,000 steps per day. How do I know how many steps I get in a day? I have a fitbit.

I am pretty attached to my fitbit and it rarely leaves my wrist. A holiday gift in 2015, I started off with an easy 5,000 steps per day. Right before I got sick with my pregnancy, I was up to about 13,000 per day. That’s a lot of steps!

I find the fitbit to be incredibly motivating. I want to get my steps every day. I can think of many nights that I ran circles around my living room or jogged in place while watching a movie just so I could get my steps in. It also provides me with a realistic idea of how active or sedentary I am.

I covet the scale that fitbit sells, mostly because I want my profile to be as complete as possible. I haven’t been able to condone the purchases yet, both because I think not having a scale in my house is healthy and because I have better places to spend my money right now.

Overall, if you are looking for an easy, natural motivator, I would absolutely recommend a Fitbit for you.
