Okay, why is there not a manual to parenting? I mean, I suppose there are books, but what about a 100% guarantee, if you raise your child this way, you will be successful? Instead, we have to make it up as we go, battling conflicting opinions and getting mixed results. So what does a parent do when they need help? You start to search around for parenting support groups. You take classes and read books. And sometimes, you seek out a different type of Early Years help. Sometimes, you even search out an Early Childhood Consultant.

The What

I have a good friend who has a child right around the same age as my own. She commented on how it was hard because she felt her child needed extra support but didn’t qualify for services. This is a need I heard over and over again. An Early Childhood Consultant is that extra support. It’s for all the parents who need a solution to a problem. An experienced professional, this consultant should be able to help you with any of your family dynamic problems. This support can range from routine such as sleeping and eating all the way to behavior, such as melt downs or refusal to listen.

Reading Support

I am aware that not everyone can afford a private consultant, despite my efforts to keep my rates reasonable. As such, I have created a number of blogs to help families try to make their own plans.

The Why

I started Freedom Inside because I wanted every family to be able to enjoy being a family. I wanted to take my passion for children and development and turn it into something positive and helpful. So I’ve worked hard to create community, to build support systems, and to offer as much of my knowledge as I can. Acting as a consultant was just one more way to take it to the next level.

The Who

Honestly, the who is really about you and your family. It’s about your needs, your life, and your freedom. I’m more of an accessory who. I’ve been working with children since 2005, in schools and one on one. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013 and have continued to take classes and read so that I can stay on top of what the most current practices are. I myself am a parent as well, and I know how hard it is to balance everything. There is no one right way, which is why I make individualized plans for each family.

When and Where

In this new Covid era, the options of when and where have changed dramatically. Typically I observe and work with families in their own homes, which can limit my availability. Now with software like Zoom and Teams, I can work with you anytime, anywhere.

The How

By working together and creating an intentional developmental plan, we work through every problem. It’s more than tips and tricks, or some more reading. It’s a real connection, a real plan, with room to explore and adjust as your family needs it.
