The Founder
Karina Scott
Executive Director & Treasurer
Karina Scott founded Freedom Inside: For Children, Parents, and Teachers in October of 2023 after running an LLC for a number of years. She decided to operate as a non-profit in 2023 because she found that it more closely aligned with her goals and values.
Karina is incredibly passionate about working with children, families, and teachers. Her goal is to positively effect the lives of as many children in the world as possible. She strongly believes that the world can be changed in a single generation if the adults around children are given the education and resources they need to succeed.
Karina has been studying Early Childhood Education since 2006. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Traditional Eastern Arts from Naropa University. She holds a level 6 PDIS credential in Colorado Shines, a coaching credential, and a training credential. She is a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Consultant, and a Nurturing Parenting Facilitator.
The Board
Amanda Scott
President
Amanda is the president on the board of directors for Freedom Inside. She is proud to join this journey of supporting parenting and power to help encourage parents to grow with their children.
Amanda began pursuing new ways of connecting to a deeper, fuller life in 2018 . Diving deep into wellness, she came into massage for her own healing and experienced profound transformation as a result of receiving body work. She became hungry to learn more and share the power of massage with others. She learned to refine her general interest in wellness and pursue a new way to help others heal.
Amanda sees an important connection between massage and parent education. She is passionate about healing the whole person, and she believes the Mission of Freedom Inside: For Children, Parents, and Teachers aligns with looking at the whole.
Tammy Hollister
Vice President
Tammy Hollister comes from a background in Human Resources and has previously served on the board of the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault. As a parent she has benefited greatly from the tools and knowledge provided by Freedom Inside: For Children, Parents, and Teachers and is excited to support their mission. She believes that all parents could use more tools, support, and community as they take on one of the most important jobs of all – helping grow good humans. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and cat, knitting and origami.
Stephanie Auberger
Secretary
Stephanie works for North Metro Community Services supporting families who have children with disabilities. She has a background in contemplative education and psychology. She brings a valuable lens with a focus on trauma informed practices and inclusive education.
