Two Way Parent Communication: Creating Reciprocal Relationships

We all know that parents and caregivers are the most important individuals in a child’s life. They are the first teachers and while we are experts on child development, a child’s main adults are the expert in their child. This means the caregiver-teacher relationship is vital for a child’s success. We need to put time, effort, and energy into creating a reciprocal relationship of communication, transparency, and working together for the best of the child.

This training unpacks ways to build healthy two-way relationships between caregivers and teachers. We will practice important skills such as conferences, pickup and drop off conversations, and inviting parents to share what is happening in their lives. More than a lecture, this 1.5 hour training is designed to give you real practice opportunities, as well as to share challenges you may be currently facing and exploring solutions in a safe, group context.

This 1.5 hour training is geared towards parents and teachers of Early Childhood Education.

This training will be offered virtually. Please select your desired date and time below. All times listed are in Denver Mountain Time. Links to join this training will be sent after you have signed up.

If you would like to receive a certificate for course completion, please be sure to order your certificate here. You do NOT need to order a separate certificate if you signed up through PDIS.
